ANXIETY

HOW ANXIETY HOLDS YOU BACK

It feels like a constant hum beneath your skin, as if your body is bracing for something that hasn’t happened and may never happen. Your thoughts race in tight circles, each one louder and more urgent than the last, convincing you that you’ve forgotten something important or that something is about to go wrong. Your chest can feel tight, your breathing shallow, your heart thudding hard enough to notice. Even small decisions suddenly seem enormous, heavy with imagined consequences. It’s a restless, uneasy energy that won’t let you fully relax, like standing on the edge of a step you can’t see in the dark, unsure whether you’re safe or about to fall.

Sufferers often also have panic attacks, which are a sudden surge of intense fear or discomfort that reaches its peak within minutes. They can start at any age, which can be very alarming to someone who has never had one before.

During a panic attack, a person may experience symptoms such as a racing heart, shortness of breath, dizziness, sweating, shaking, or a feeling of losing control. Although these symptoms can feel overwhelming and frightening, panic attacks themselves are not physically dangerous. They are often triggered by stress, anxiety, or certain situations, but they can also occur unexpectedly.

HYPNOTHERAPY FOR ANXIETY

Panic attacks are commonly associated with anxiety disorders, particularly Panic Disorder. People who experience frequent panic attacks may begin to fear having another one, which can lead to avoiding certain places or situations. Treatment can include therapy, lifestyle changes, and sometimes medication, all of which help individuals manage symptoms and reduce the likelihood of future attacks. Learning coping strategies such as controlled breathing and relaxation techniques can also be helpful.

Hypnotherapy is presented as a highly effective approach to alleviating anxiety because it works directly with the subconscious mind, which is considered the source of the "driving process" behind anxiety. Since anxiety is viewed as a symptom of a deeper, often unconscious issue, therapies that only address the conscious mind or the symptoms themselves may offer only temporary relief. Hypnotherapy, by contrast, is designed to "lever out the roots of Anxiety."

WORKING CONTENT FREE

A particularly beneficial form of this treatment is Content Free Hypnotherapy. This technique is highlighted as excellent for anxiety because it minimizes the involvement required from the conscious mind. A significant advantage is that a person does not need to consciously recall or relive past traumatic or scary events to release the underlying emotional drivers. The subconscious mind holds the knowledge of the triggers, and content-free hypnotherapy works to change the negative, conditioned patterns within the subconscious, allowing the individual to release the drivers of their anxiety without ever needing to know or verbalize what they were.
One of the most important things to remember is that no matter what happened in your past, we cannot change it.
It would of course be great if we could but the best we can do is possibly change your perception of it.
I think it far better just to accept the past and change your future. This can be done by changing the end of the pattern that is causing the problem.
Traditionaly most problems were helped by regressing the person back in time to the cause but this can be traumatic for the client. Working content free can avoid this.
